We are thrilled to announce that we have been appointed by the Isle of Wight NHS Trust to supply a modular ophthalmic theatre and recovery suite. The facility has been procured by the Trust to help reduce the backlog of elective eye procedures that they are currently experiencing. ModuleCo Healthcare (MCH) will be working with our manufacturing partner ModuleCo to deliver the facility.
The facility is being supplied on a 5-year hire agreement and was procured via the SBS modular buildings framework. The monthly rental encompasses many of the project elements from detailed design through to the delivery, installation and final commissioning before handover.
Managing Director of MCH, Alan Wilson, said, “We are thrilled to have been chosen to supply this important facility to the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, which perfectly demonstrates how modular construction techniques can assist with the challenges that the NHS are currently facing.
MCH specialise in providing state-of-the-art healthcare facilities to the NHS and our vast experience means we are able to work closely with Trusts to not only provide bespoke facilities but to also identify the best financial solution.”
Rob Graham, Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities at the Trust said, “We are delighted to be receiving this ophthalmic theatre and are looking forward to welcoming patients to the facility. MCH stood out to us, not only for the speed at which they could deploy the project but also for the vast experience that they have in supplying this type of complex facility previously.
The new facility will help us to reduce the waiting lists caused by the recent pandemic and enable us to deliver the best care to our patients.”
